People often ask me, “Do you make a lot as a consultant?” My answer is always honest and truthful – you make as much as you put into it. Was it hard for me at first? Yes, of course, any new business venture is! At most, I get to have money for my vacations and trips throughout the year. At least, I pay for my daughters dance class and sons sports. I never pay full price for my own Scentsy and I enjoy this as a hobby/business. Never work.

I have received so many new “likes” on my Scentsy Facebook page the past few weeks that I decided to share a video on my page and my YouTube channel! Now I can sit and fret about how I look, or sound. But in the end, it’s really just about making that connection. Letting people know who they are doing business with. Everyone enjoys a person rather than an empty space.
So let’s start with I live in Washington. I moved here 3 years ago from CA. I am a military wife, and mother of two kids. I also call my self mother to a zoo of animals, 😉 I have 3 dogs Tyke, Astro, and SadieMae. I have a cat named Huck, a bunny named Buddy, a fish named Rex, and two mice named Stormy and Sky.
I teach preschool and currently have the toddler class. I’ve been a preschool teacher over 20 years now! I started with Scentsy as a hobby and and have grown so much I now see it as my business!
I love reading, traveling, scrap booking, crafts, and movies ( don’t forget the popcorn, ever!)

I decided to showcase the new Scentsy spring/summer catalog this weekend by hosting a crafty party! Each guest paid $5 for a make it take it craft ( thank you Pinterest) . I displayed some of my products and of course my testers. We had fun snacking, chatting, crafting, and sniffing!
I also got to chat with a friend about possibly joining my team. This month it’s only $49 to join and get a small start up kit. Great deal especially if you are not so sure if this may be a good fit for you. You get to keep the items in your kit!
I hope this crafty party catches on, because I had lots of fun and would love to have a hostess who may want to have her own crafty Scentsy party!

So exited to join my team member Tracy in Riverside, CA. tomorrow for our the annual Spring convention. New product release, and some Scentsy spirit is all I need to refresh and refocus! I’m ready for some new warmers to decorate my rooms , and to bring some Spring and Summer scents into my home. My excitement and passion is what helps me to be a great consultant to my customers. I love sharing how I use the product I sell, in my home and daily life.
I lost a few team members in the past few months, due to their life circumstances. But I also gained a few. I’m more determined than ever to share my tips and ideas for success so that as a team, we do better as a whole. I have also been wanting to find more ways to reach out to past customers, reward current customers and hopefully gain new ones. I think my customer loyalty program helps keep many of my long timers, and for that I’m grateful.
Also grateful that Scentsy provides these trainings to give us the tools we need to better ourselves, and our business. I’ve got my purple notebook and Scentsy ink pen ready for note taking!

Its transition month so that means I’m super busy! A party order just arrived along with my NEW catalogs and scent testers. First things first is to sort, label and pack up with pretty tiny touches. I can’t wait for all my costumes to see the new Scentsy line, so I’m having a Last Glance / First Peek party in my home and online!
Almost all of the catalog will be 10% off the month of August. And Scentsy’s Layers line is discontinuing. I’m huge fan of the body butter!

Soooo I know I’ve been MIA for what, a year now!? I lost all my apps and couldn’t remember any of the blog ones, till I finally came across it and have had some down time to finally sit down and start back up again. So remember my motto just keep swimming? Well I did, and now I swim with a fabulous team of Five! I used to have 6 but my friend had to back out due to personal issues. Most of us keep in touch on our team page and it’s a great feeling to be able to support each other, bounce ideas, share our victories, and our downfalls. Scentsy just held their annual reunion in Las Vegas. Tracy and I vow that next year we are attending reunion no matter what! The thrill and rush of everything must be so amazing. The pics people are posting are making a little envious 😛

My one year “Scentiversary” is Aug 13th and I received a special present! My first team member signed up yesterday! Whooohoooo! Her name is Tracy and she was a really good customer but fairly new. So I never would have thought she’d be interested in selling. But she saw the love for Scentsy products in the people around her who order it and she knew she was in love with it so she jumped in full power. I’m really excited to work with her, have her energy be part of my life, and watch her grow. She did take a huge chunk of my customers with her by signing on, since they all work with her, however it just pushes me to get out there and gather more new customers! Yikes! So I am doing my first event booth this November. I’m hoping to learn and grow myself. I cannot sit back in my comfort zone. Especially if I want that all expense paid cruise next summer!

Right after I joined Scentsy I came across this necklace and wanted it so badly. I made myself a deal. When I became a team leader I would purchase it for myself as a reward. Last night I hosted my first ever Facebook party! I had thought about it for a long time and since my Scentiversary is this month, decided it was the perfect time to celebrate and have fun with my customers. I posted pics and videos. Played a few games. Had lots of interaction, feedback, questions. I had a lot of people sign in late, but it was still fun. Even had some of their friends chiming in on a few posts. So my goal was to get more people to see what Scentsy is all about, and I am going to choose a mystery hostess after the party closes. I didn’t get as many orders as I thought I would, considering the catalog is 10% off this month! But still, a few sales, from being at home in PJs and having fun on Facebook. Wow, I get paid to play! How awesome is that.

I finally purchased the hand sanitizer pack! I usually purchase mine from Bath and Body so I had tons to go thru first! I must say I’m really happy with this slim spritzer that easily fits into any purse or backpack. Desk or locker. Since it’s spray on, you can better control how much or little you’d like to use. Often with the other kind, a bigger blob would come out and I’d be wasting so much wiping it on a pant leg or tissue. I ordered mine in my favorite scent – Sunkissed Citrus!
